I understand that most of today's music is influenced by previous music, but these three songs are eerily similar. They all contain the same four chord progressions, and are nearly identical if you swapped out the melodies.

My issue is that I don't enjoy a revamped version of a song I liked two years ago. I want to hear something fresh, something new. Do they not think their listeners can tell the difference? Alicia Keys even won some Grammy's for her version, regardless to the fact that it came out after the Black Eyed Peas' song, and is essentially the same.

Listen for yourself and you be the judge:
"Where Is The Love?" - Black Eyed Peas (2004)
"No One" - Alicia Keys (2007)
"Hey Soul Sister" - Train (2009)
